Chapter 1: SOS
Mina:
Verse 1
"Hello my name is Mina I’m nineteen
I live in a house down by the stream
In the forest clearing by the trees
This is the story of how I survived the night
A melancholic’s sweet delight
My eminent battle with the pit of despair

Chorus 1
If these words reach your headphones
Would you tell my story?
And join me for
the time we have here

Verse 2
I feel always blue, and I don’t know what to do
I’ve tried everything, except get out of bed
Watch time slip away, all these days are lost
My life has been this way for a very long time

Chorus 2
If these words reach your headphones
Would you tell my story?
And join me for
the time we have here
If these words reach your headphones
Would you tell my story?
And join down
the rabbit hole

Bridge
Sos os
Can you hear us?
Signal reaching out
My disappearance
Holding on till’ I can see the daybreak
Sos os
Why won’t you help us?
Sos os
Can you hear us?
Signal reaching out
My disappearance
Holding on till’ I can see the daybreak
Sos os
Why won’t you help us?

Thesis
I bleed for all of your sorrows
Lay them on me, you know I can take it
Then watch me as I’m crucified
To cleanse myself inside the flames

Will the sun still rise tomorrow
If I run away from the altar?
Then watch me as I’m crucified
And cheer my name for good morale!

I bleed for all of your strengths and
I bleed for all of my faults and
The last dance then commit suicide
Sos os
I don’t think they can hear us"

Chapter 2: Mina's Daily Routine
Narrator:
Verse 1
Mina woke up this morning and didn’t recognize her face in the mirror
So she walked downstairs, had a cup of coffee, trying not to cry at 9 am
She didn’t get enough sleep, but she never does
She didn’t eat breakfast and she’s stuck on her cellphone
It helps turn her brain off, and let her subconscious take over so she can be alone a while
She walks through the woods behind her house hoping to mediate and quiet her mind
But she finds a dead rabbit and thinks of its children, which doesn’t help at all

Chorus 1
If you’re trapped in your own head
And you go to war with yourself
Every night beneath the starlight
Attempt not to accept that this is the rest of your life

Verse 2
Mina woke up this morning with the weight of the world sitting on her shoulders
Cus she stayed up all night watching YouTube videos of the awful things the Nazis did
She cried and ate popcorn till the sun came up then drove to school with her eyes still teary
Thinking of genocide and how much suffering can fit into just one lifetime
She lied in her bunk bed at 2 pm for four hours, so she could just stare at trees
Their shadows are haunting, crawling the earth’s surface, trying to hide from the sun

Chorus 2
If you’re trapped in your own head
And you go to war with yourself
Every night beneath the starlight
Attempt not to accept that this is the rest of your life

Bridge
I can’t imagine a world without you hear
So just hold on, hold on for life my dear
They’re all out to get you, but that won’t get you down
Cus as long as you have your noise-canceling headphones
You won’t have to face the violent sound

Chorus 3
If you’re trapped in your own head
And you go to war with yourself
Every night beneath the starlight
Attempt not to accept that this is the rest of your life
I know you’re trapped in your own head
I watch you go to war every night
So, pick up your weapons and stay alive
Let go and accept that this is the rest of your life

Chapter 3: Doctor! Doctor!
Mina’s Parents:
Doctor! Doctor! We have a problem
Doctor! Doctor! The tears just won’t stop
Doctor! Doctor! See that we’re desperate
Can you help us sir?
Doctor! Doctor! Take all my money
My daughter’s lost her marbles again
It’s been three weeks since she has got out of bed
Can you help her sir?
Doctor Doctor, we just can’t take it
Her grades are down and she has no friends
She used to be such a normal kid
Tell us what to do!
Doctor! Doctor! please work your magic
Drugs or clean - whatever it takes
I'll sign the papers, give you her soul if
You can help us sir

The Receptionist:
Thank you for choosing to visit with us.
Uh, let me get some paperwork in order and then the doctor will see you.
We have juice boxes in the refrigerator if you’re interested.

The Doctor:
Mina now I see exactly what you need
A dose or two should put the body right
Mina come along and take these pills, (you’re strong)
The big ones should help you stay asleep at night
Mina now I see exactly what you need
Captivate or lacerate, we have the cure
I’d love to see you smile if insurance covers that
I’d love to chat more but, shoot, that’s our time
Mina back again? Just remember we’re not friends
Professional conduct in fluorescent lights
Give this bill to your mom, she’ll know what to do
Hear your parents fight about money when you leave the room
Mina can’t you see? Cooperate, please
The medication doesn’t work? well let’s up the dose
Mina I’ll admit, you have us all quite miffed
Psychotherapy should help you cope

The Psychotherapist:
Do you dream sexual?
Mina:
No?
The Psychotherapist:
Or homosexual?
Mina:
I don’t see why that matters
The Psychotherapist:
Do you dream phallis erectional?
Mina:
What the fuck are you talking about?
The Psychotherapist:
Please it’s correctional
Mina:
No, No, No, No, No, No, No

My dreams are dark with bugs crawling in my skin
And buildings collapsing killing me
The children were dying in a fiery pit
And they just keep burning without throwing a fit
You want to put a price tag on my soul
And prance around pretending to console
Here’s your fucking paycheck now leave me alone
But if you honestly want to know
I dream of
Flying over land passing me by
I look from up in the sky
At people living their lives
They greet each other, say “hi”
They’re so peaceful and look like oil pastels
Cottages with thatched roofs and bells
Just going about their days
My calm and peaceful escape
Near the forest and it's starting to get dark
Their torches light up like sparks
The village is all lit aglow
As I’m floating over their homes

The Psychotherapist:
Welp, that’s our time
I think this was a very productive session
See you next week

Chapter 4: Better than Nothing?
Mina:
It was a good day, better than most I have
Can we carry on like this?
I was with friends; we shot the shit all day
Level headed, so happy and free
After they all leave, I walk through the sunset home
I look into the bathroom mirror and smile
I can’t help but ask myself is this it?
Is this it?
Is this it?
Is this it?
There’s nothing better than this?
Is this it?
Is this it?
Is this it?
This is what happiness is?

This is the rest of your life
This is the best it can get, why try?
Imagine me living a normal life
Hanging with friends and barbecues in the backyard
While junior plays next to the picket fence
(no)

Please my mom says it's fine as long as I’m home by quarter past 9
She doesn’t need to know what comes before
Look up at the sky, the reddish hue is just so divine
That moment there is the best I can feel
I think it’s time
Please don’t stop me, I can’t be alive
My best wishes, send you all goodbye!

I’ll be home by 9
What’s better than nothing?
Better than nothing?
Take it as you will
We all saw this coming
All saw this coming

I’ll be home by 9
What’s better than nothing?
Better than nothing?
Take it as you will
We all saw this coming
All saw this coming

I’ll be home by 9
What’s better than nothing?
Better than nothing?
Take it as you will
We all saw this coming
All saw this coming

Chapter 5: Down the Rabbit Hole
Remorse:
Verse 1
If you don’t mind the weather I swear it’s not so bad
I know that you have your heat lamp to make it in the cold
The snow is really lovely if you get out of bed
But that’s not gonna happen Mina, you’re already dead
Parents found your body
Deceased at 9:15
The doctors try to justify an inevitable tragedy
The fact they didn’t tell you: your life continues on
So now you're fucked cus you are stuck for all eternity
oh

Pre-Chorus 1
Please take my hand
Just close your eyes and don’t look down

Chorus 1
Welcome home
The place in your mind that’s eternally dark
Come along
Dust off your shoes and I’ll show you around
Poor Mina

Verse 2
let’s go
If you don’t mind the weather I swear that you’ll get by
The blasting cold and fiery heat in which you’re crucified
You want to save the world now?
Well you’re a teenage girl
Your ignorance fills me with bliss
I don’t think you’ll be missed

Pre-Chorus 2
Please take my hand
Just close your eyes and don’t look down
You understand?
The pit of despair welcomes you home

Chorus 2
The place in your mind that’s eternally dark
Come along
Dust off your shoes and I’ll show you around
Poor Mina
Are we all mad around here?
I can’t seem to remember home
My darling
So if you think that life ain’t fair
Welcome to the pit my friend

Bridge 1
Home to sinners of all kinds
Take off your skin and breathe the air
You're never going home
You're never going home
You're never going to make it -
Mina:
Bridge 2
Home
I’m only made of skin
This isn’t happening
Oh baby
No
I know I’m born broken
And there’s no fixing me
You fucker

Remorse:
Bridge 3
Your mom is calling home
And you’ve been out too long
But now it’s time to prove that you don’t care about anybody
This is your punishment
Sorrows and deepest fears
There is no sympathy in heaven for people who call this home

Chorus 3
The place in your mind that’s eternally dark
Come along
Dust off your shoes and I’ll show you around
Poor Mina
Are we all mad around here?
I can’t seem to remember home
My darling
So if you think that life ain’t fair
Welcome to the pit of despair!

Outro
They tried to warn you
You didn’t listen
Now you’re alone
Mina:
No
We’ll keep on fighting
Cus we can take it
We’re not alone
Go
My vow of silence
A bloody reaper
Leave me alone

Chapter 8: Loneliness
Loneliness:
Verse 1
If you’re waiting for help you’re gonna be here all day
Your friends aren’t gonna wait for you to come out and play
If you're always high-igh-igh-igh
They’re gonna go away-ay-ay-ay
Sympathize with a cat, cus buddy you’re astray

PreChorus 1
You’re gonna kick it alone
Till grown and old
And the hair on your head is gray
Cus your appetite is really quite trite
You’re just gonna scare em’ away

Chorus 1
You’ll die alone!
You know too well that it’s true
As far as love, yeah you’re screwed
You’re just far too blue
So keep on hoping!
And hurting those that you love
You can’t take off your boxing gloves
And they’ve all had enough

Verse 2
Oh I can see you never felt so alone
Begging for attention, throw that old dog a bone
I imagine your gravestone, yeah no flowers for you
You’re not getting retention so what ya’ gonna do?

PreChrous 2
Cus if you steal from a kid
Or are sleeping with him
They’ll pack up their stuff and leave
Under market demands
There’s really no plan
Except to take all the money and flee

Chorus 2
You’ll die alone!
You know too well that it’s true
As far as love, yeah you’re screwed
You’re just far too blue
So keep on hoping!
And hurting those that you love
The unconditional?
its a fucking joke

Bridge
Say the words but you don’t believe it
That you won’t just leave your loved ones bleeding
They say they care but no they don’t mean it
If they did then you wouldn’t be here
We’d all be spared quite a few tears
Woo!

Chorus 3
You’ll die alone!
You know too well that it’s true
As far as love, yeah you’re screwed
You’re just far too blue
So keep on hoping!
And hurting those that you love
You can’t take off your boxing gloves
And they’ve all had enough

Mina:
Outro
I have a bad habit of abandoning people before they can abandon me
People I love and care about
But
I’m not broken, just terrified
Of being alone, human’s demise
Self fulfilling prophecies
Follow my footsteps like a disease
You’re not broken, just terrified
Of being alone, don’t feed me lies

Chapter 9: Pain
Pain:
Verse 1
You read about those battles of long dead nations marching
Towards their death and cheering for rival patrons' blood
Stab wounds got infected, they’re bleeding out in trenches
All those were real humans, their pain lives in the pages

Look into your soul and you’ll see your deepest fear
If nothing really matters then why is pain so real?
Weather in your head or it’s flaring in your body
You can’t escape the suffering and you can’t fucking take it

PreChorus 1
You can’t run you can’t turn it off
So flea and hide from what comes for all

Mina:
Chorus 1
I am stronger than you know
Free lies and fall down into reddened snow
I am alive and life will find a way
So clench your teeth tight, survive this as we do
Till next time

Verse 2
Graves of all of the lives we lost
Carve their names into those bloody stones
We carry down that road into the night

pain:
PreChorus 2
God is blind he doesn’t care about you
Cus Mina, if he did you wouldn’t leave so soon
Realize that painless death is a gift for few
You know most humans die in bloody spews

Mina:
Chorus 2
I am stronger than you know
Free lies and fall down into reddened snow
I am alive and life will find a way
So clench your teeth tight, survive this as we do
Till next time

Bridge
My wrists tell stories of long nights in the winter oh so cold
Hopeless garbage spewing out rotting inside my brain
All I needed was a purpose to pick up my sword and fight
You can take me down but I will find a way to live

Chorus 3
I am stronger than you know
Free lies and fall down into reddened snow
I am alive and life will find a way
So clench your teeth tight, survive this as we do
Till next time

Outro
Fall down and stand up and freeze frame and scream out
But I will not lie down and die here today
Fall down and stand up and freeze frame and scream out
Humanity fights just for the right to breath

My ancestors fought for life for 4 billion of years of suffering
Holding hands we take it in stride
Vowing through all
We will not die tonight

Chapter 10: Death
Mina:
Verse 1
I know we’ll meet again but I miss you
You’re someone that I hardly know but I carry your image in my head
Like rocks in my pocket
When I go swimming let the water fill my lungs
What a relief it would be to know you for a moment in time
For you to embrace me

Chours 1
And we're spinning around in a cycle
To leave doesn't mean that you're gone
To go doesn't release the pain
But I don't think I can hold on one more day

Verse 2
I know this world is filled with people who meet people who meet other people
The chain reaction will be lethal
But still I can’t find a good reason
A reason to keep on believing
When I’ve been way too busy grieving
Something I lost long ago
I can’t seem to find it

Chorus 2
And I know my mom is way too young to host a funeral
And I’ve never seen my father cry
And my dog will not understand why
But I’m already gone

Chorus 3
And I know hell is a girl who is 19
Who doesn’t want to be alive, no
Please do not beg me to stay
So can I stay here with you just one more day?

Outro
My first memory was thinking about you
And in that way you’ve always been home
Don’t say I must let go of you now

Chapter 11: We're Painting the Roses Black
Remorse:
Intro
The eyes of your family start to tear up, oh
It’s time to face what you have done

Verse 1
The grand hotel is not accepting visitors
What would you do to just lay down and rest a while?
Life moves on but you’re trapped behind a barricade that you have made
Stuck inside your childish ways

PreChorus 1
It’s a waste of time to fantasize about the color of flowers on your grave
Cus’ you won’t be there

Mina:
Chorus 1
Round and round, we’re spinning in a circle
Merry go round, my stomachs boutta hurtle
If I fall off I’ll get back on for more
Round and round, we’re spinning in a circle
Merry go round, I can’t stop being hurtful
If I fall off I’ll bleed out on the floor

Remorse:
Verse 2
Death was your best friend but now she’s gone for good
So how will you live the rest of your desperate life?
You rat
You parasite
You monster, oh
You’ll destroy us

PreChorus 2
Sit around and fantasize till’ the blood starts to gush out of your veins
Do you have what it takes?

Mina:
Chorus 2
Round and round, we’re spinning in a circle
Merry go round my stomachs boutta hurtle
If I fall off I’ll get back on for more
Round and round, we’re spinning in a circle
Merry go round I can’t stop being hurtful
If I fall off I’ll bleed out on the floor

Bridge
Don’t you know that art imitates life imitates art imitates me
But they’ll never ever know, never ever know
How art imitates life imitates art imitates me
But they’ll never ever know, no they’ll never ever know

Apotheosis
How we imitate sex imitates art imitates you
When you’re standing all alone and losing control
I imitate God imitates life imitates art
Pouring out from in my veins, tryn’ represent my pain
Life imitates art imitates death imitates flies
Flowing from my rotting face, beautiful and wrapped in lace
Life
Life
Life

Chapter 12: Chemical Suicide
Mina:
Verse 1
Time sits in the passenger seat as I drive past those houses near the place where I was born
The nighttime is quiet the lights in the windows burn low
The street lamps are dim and light up the edge of the road
Was it near here that we got that ice cream when I was a kid?
Those memories are fleeting I’m not sure anymore
I can’t keep track of the days or the years it all blends together
But I know it’s been 36 packs of cigarettes since I’ve last been home

Chorus 1
So if you’re not gonna buy me a drink
Then please just leave me alone
Cus the dealers are up but the bars are closed
So alas I’m resigned to a chemical suicide

Verse 2
Time takes my hand and assures me it’s okay
I’m not sure I believe her these days now that the thrill is all gone
I feel no excitement and now that I’m old I feel the cold deeply in my bones
The tears are all dry on my cheek
I’m no longer afraid of my 9 to 5
Instead, I drift off into memories of cocktails on warm boardwalk nights
But now I only drink inside on the couch with red wine and no one by my side
My friends are all grown up and gone
Driving on, my eyes are glazed over in a haze
I look to my side and time is gone, I guess that it just slipped away
The dirt on my Converse and the empty streets tell me that I’ve been out too long
With all this in mind I scurry home

Chorus 2
Home to crawl back into bed
With a stranger who doesn’t know my name
But I only have myself to blame
So alas I’m resigned to a chemical suicide

Chorus 3
Get back on your feet!
The symphony is not over!
The world keeps on turning and now it’s your choice to play your part or let it pass you by
Sew you away
An ounce of thread and you’re a seamstress
A hole in your soul with a seam stitch
Patching you up every day by day
Mina my dear you are a work of art love
And death is the frame that's surrounding us
So i'll stay if you do the same
The strength that you need is the heaviest burden on your soul
It pins you down and looks past your eyes
At all of the secrets you try to hide

I love you and need you to promise me that you won’t be resigned to a chemical suicide
We’re in this together, so remember you’re not alone

Chapter 13: Daughter of the Moon
Remorse:
Verse 1
She has received in her heart
And unbearable weight
On her chest
Through her breath
To strive for something more

Death:
Mina, gig is up
As you know
You must let go
Leave the pit behind
As you cry
You’ll be okay

Mina:
We won’t go into the twilight
Not without a fight
We’re still breathing
Can you hear us?
We will scream our lungs out until we have no breath left

Chorus 1
Cheers to hope for better days
That's something more
Something we all can hope for
She floats above the moon
As she's the night
As she is doused in starlight
The music calls your name
Will you sing along or walk away?
The Daughter of the Moon will carry on and live to see tomorrow

Verse 2
Who will receive in their heart
The unbearable weight
Is it you?
Not alone
Together we’ll take it on

Chorus 2
Cheers to hope for better days
That's something more
Something we all can hope for
She floats above the moon
As she's the night
As she is doused in starlight
The music calls your name
Will you sing along or walk away?
The Daughter of the Moon will save the world
So let’s cultivate our
love

Epilogue
Just because she has decided to stay
Does not mean her war has concluded
Now faced with the gruesome task
Of tearing broken shards of glass from her feet

All for the chance to clean
